TOWARDS THE END, THERE'S ABOUT 2 MINUTES OF SILENCE. THE PROGRAMME RESUMES AT 2:02:00 AND YOU'LL WANT TO HEAR THIS WEEK'S CODA.
This week we're heading off to McDowell's in search of two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions on a seedless bun in Coming To America. Join your favourite TransAtlantic podcasting crew – Ian, Liam, Ellie, Georgia - as we head to Queens, New York via Zamunda with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall as our royal escorts. It's an 8-dollar haircut of a 60th episode as we discuss:
- Why did Eddie Murphy and John Landis work together again after the friction during Trading Places
- At what point does James Earl Jones predict his own cinematic future in this film
- We share a sobering story regarding Louie Anderson's placement in this film
- Ian asks if we forgive Cleo too easily by the end
- When is a story by Eddie Murphy perhaps not a story by Eddie Murphy
- Which of the prosthetic alter-egos of Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall fooled Ellie
- Which actors did Georgia not recognise in this film as her legendary face blindness struck again
- There's a coda worth sticking around to the end for as Karma strikes one of our panel in the keester
- Whether or not Coming To America is the Best Film Ever
